Sunset Treatment Contest

An approximate value of $650.

May 6 to August 5, 2016.  

The Sunset Treatment contest is organized by Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent.

The contest will begin May 6, 2016, and will end at midnight (ET) on August 5, 2016. The prize draw will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016, at 10 a.m. (ET). The random draw from all the eligible entries will take place under the supervision of Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent, located at 148 Rue Fraser, Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, G5R 1C8. The names of the winners will be posted on the contest website at and on the Facebook page of Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent starting Monday, August 15, 2016, or as soon as the winners have been contacted.

How to enter:

The contest will be promoted mainly on the website, Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent’s Facebook page and through various digital advertising platforms including Facebook and La Presse+. Other websites may also be added.

To enter the contest, Internet users will be asked to complete all the required fields on the entry form available on the website and to send one of the six available “Sunset Treatment” photos to friends and acquaintances.

A confirmation email will be sent to all entrants. Only one entry form per day will be accepted for each email address and/or telephone number for the duration of the contest period. Entrants who share their participation in the contest on their Facebook page will receive an additional chance to win.

Prize description and selection of winners:

The prizes for Sunset Treatment have a combined value of approximately $650.

1st Prize:          iPad mini 4 with 16GB of memory and silver finish

2nd Prize:         Garmin Nuvi 2457 GPS unit

The prizes are not transferable or convertible to cash, and must be accepted as described herein and awarded.

The prizes will be awarded by a random draw from all valid entries received. The odds of any given entry being selected at random depend on the number of eligible entries received and recorded between the starting and ending dates of the contest.

General conditions:

The contest is open to anyone aged 18 or older, whether they reside in Québec, another Canadian province or elsewhere in the world, and whose real last name, first name, phone number and valid email address have been duly entered on the contest entry form. Entries using aliases, nicknames or any other substitute names will be disqualified. In summary, any entry form that is not properly filled out, that is sent or received after the deadline, or that otherwise does not comply with the contest rules will be automatically rejected and will not be entitled to participate in the contest. Anyone who enters the contest using a method that is unfair to other entrants (hacking, spamming, etc.) will also be disqualified. The employees, management and directors of Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent, all members in good standing of Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent and their employees, and all persons with whom they are domiciled are excluded from participation in this contest.

Contest entrants agree to grant Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent all rights to use the submitted photographs for promotional or other purposes. Entrants cannot request royalties or other use fees.

By entering the contest, the winners agree to permit use of their names for advertising purposes without compensation other than the prize.

The winners release Tourisme Bas-Saint-Laurent (and its employees, management and directors) from all liability with regard to the warranties accompanying the prizes. The winner becomes the owner of the prize when it is awarded and shall be responsible for any damage to and/or malfunction of the device.

The prizes awarded to the winners cannot be redeemed in full or in part for another prize or for cash. In the event that a winner cannot claim their prize or cannot be reached, the prize may be awarded to another contest entrant.

For Quebec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
